It has been a long time since we have been called a global society, and this trend will continue to promote and have a significant impact on our society and lives. Food culture is one of the major influences, with Japanese food expanding overseas and developing uniquely in each region. The reverse is also true: new foods brought to Japan from abroad are also evolving in their own unique ways.
Food culture is often discussed alongside tradition and history, and often in conjunction with the idea that it is something that must be protected. So why is it evolving in its own unique way?
The development of food culture is based on the creation of food suited to the society, climate, and tastes of the people who eat it (customers). To solve customers' problems, we must understand their problems deeply, translate suitable solutions into products and services, and provide appropriate messages, prices, locations, and even advertising methods in an ethical and attractive manner.
Only through constant passion, brainstorming, mistakes, and learning in this series of activities can a product that solves a customer's problem become a "product that solves a customer's problem" and form the food culture that it is.
